Avoid Overinvesting in Basic Skills
Basic Skills are primarily used for Diablo 4 Gold resource generation (e.g., Fury, Mana, Energy). Only invest enough points to make them effective for this purpose.

Example: A Sorcerer using Frost Bolt to generate Mana only needs 1 point, as its damage output is secondary to its utility.

Exception: If your build relies heavily on a Basic Skill (e.g., a Rogue using Puncture for Vulnerable application), you may invest more points.

5. Plan Your Ultimate Skill
Ultimate Skills are powerful but have long cooldowns. Choose one Ultimate Skill that complements your build and max it out.

Example: A Sorcerer using Deep Freeze for massive AoE damage and invulnerability.

Example: A Barbarian using Call of the Ancients for additional damage and crowd control.

Avoid Multiple Ultimates: Don’t spread points across multiple Ultimate Skills, as you can only use one at a time.

6. Use Passives Wisely
Passive Skills provide significant bonuses without requiring active use. Focus on passives that enhance your Core Skill or overall build.

Example: A Sorcerer using Elemental Affinity to increase damage to frozen enemies.

Example: A Rogue using Exploit to increase damage to vulnerable enemies.

Avoid Overinvesting in Minor Passives: Some passives provide minor stat boosts. Only invest in these if they directly benefit your build.

7. Test and Refine
Run Endgame Content: Test your build in Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides, and World Boss fights to see how it performs.

Respec if Needed: If your build isn’t working as expected, use the Respec feature to reallocate points. This is especially useful as you unlock new skills and gear.
